i don’t know what right definition to explain, but as i know concept of web 2.0 logo like above

1.logotype
2.bright color
3.lighter background
4.simple
5.gradient
6.soft shadows
7.outlines
8.shine effect

hola , lets start the tutorial

Step 1

write your logotype text

Step 2

pick 2 color maybe the same color but different brighter .Look at my color example bellow.

Step 3

Select layer , Blending options,Gradient overlay,Select Gradient color

Step 4

Select Stroke color white, Stroke size 3

Step 5

Select drop shadow,blend mode Multiply,Opacity 75%
